Etymology
A rook (from Persian رخ rokh) is a piece in the game of chess and originally means chariot. The Persian word rokh was later mistaken as the Italian word rocca, meaning fortress. ROKH embodies both interpretations as we provide both defensive and offensive strategies.

ROKH was established in 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland by Founder & CEO David Mackenzie. The agency was originally founded as Agence MACKENZIE (the Mackenzie Agency) but progressively formed into the ROKH brand as the company grew. ROKH boasts an astonishing 94% success rate across all projects and strives to improve that success rate with every new case. A truly international agency, ROKH has worked successfully in over 27 different countries on 5 different continents. We are proud to cater to private clients and corporations, as well as to institutions and government entities.
For confidentiality reasons, we cannot share case studies on existing or past projects. An article in Politico, however, highlights how a brief inquiry from ROKH resulted in the exposure of fake news in the Financial Times.

Founder & CEO - David Mackenzie, MBA, LLM
David Mackenzie is the Founder & CEO of ROKH Sàrl. David has over 10 years’ experience in investigations working predominantly on Anti-Corruption cases, Fraud & Financial Crimes cases as well as Global Asset Traces. David began working in investigations in 2013 after leaving the military. He rose through the ranks in a private intelligence firm before founding his own agency in 2018. David appreciates the intellectual and creative challenges needed to solve complex multi-jurisdictional cases.
Combining his considerable investigative experience with both business and legal qualifications, David has shaped ROKH into a powerful and fully-integrated investigative firm. These synergies ensure that ROKH’s clients benefit from pragmatic, business-oriented results which are also structured with legal requirements in mind, saving considerable time and cost.
David holds a bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics in International Relations (2012), an MBA from the University of Geneva (2018) and from the University of Law; a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) (2020) and an LLM, Master of Laws in Professional Legal Practice LPC (2023).
Since 2017, David has been licenced as a private detective and commercial intelligence agent by the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland. He is also certified by the International Compliance Association (ICA) in Anti-Money Laundering.
In his spare time, David enjoys challenging himself with physical fitness, giving back to his community as an active volunteer firefighter and riding his classic motorcycle through the fields and mountains around his home.
